Health Questionnaire/COVID Requirements: As of March 2022, it is no longer necessary to complete the health questionnaire. Mexico is open to all visitors. No special requirements, health tests, or quarantines are required. However, travelers are reminded to follow Health Travel Guidance as well as local and state advisories regarding COVID-19.

Passport Required: All citizens of the United States must present a valid passport when entering Mexican territory by any means of transportation. There are no exceptions for minors.

Mexico Immigration Form: Before you depart for Mexico, be sure to fill out your Immigration Form. Commercial airlines no longer hand out this form, and all foreign travelers are required to complete this form before entering Customs in Mexico. Expedite your arrival by entering your immigration details into their system in advance. Upon arriving in Mexico, bypass the line of unprepared travelers filling out forms by hand at the airport and simply present your printed Tourist Card with your passport in Customs, collect your stamp, and breeze right through!

Visitax: The country of Mexico requires the payment of foreign visitor tax in the amount of about $10 USD ($240 MX pesos). You can pay this tax in advance at visitax.gob.mx.
